Note: This option gave me quite a few problems further down in the questline where some guy (not going to spoil incase you havent done it) didn't show up and it became a huge mess, so you are warned if you decide to take this path This should start the quest but you will have to find your own way to the abandoned shack aswell as give you the key so you can enter the abandoned shack if there is already a courier on the way to you when you do it, it might get bugged and he will never show up at all, there was a console command to get him to show so maybe try that? There is also a console option to start the next quest aswell as give yourself the key to the shack and go there and lock yourself in with the key you have given yourself and then talk to astrid, so basically: I had a huge issues with this before aswell so asked my friend google about it alot, turns out.
